“Romantisme Jogja” stamps for stay-at-homes

IO – In order to follow the government’s recommendations during the COVID-19 pandemic, PT Pos Indonesia together, with Indonesian toy photographer Fauzie Helmy, launched a stamp with the heading “Romantisme Jogja” (“Romanticism of Jogja”). 

Romantic Jogja stamps will show the beauty of Jogja with a touch of Toy Photography; a display of 6 stamp designs sets children’s toys against the background of the beauty of Jogjakarta. The stamp was launched on May 6, 2020 in the framework of 180 Years of World Stamps, first published on May 6, 1840. 

“In the Covid-19 pandemic, the launching of the Philately Object was carried out online on May 6, 2020 and printed by PT Pos Indonesia, with 100 copies of Prisma Stamps in the background of the City of Jogja with Exclusive Philately Packaging; they can be ordered through the Yogyakarta Post Office online,” said Aulia Pribadi Ananda, the Head of the Yogyakarta Post Office. 

“When Covid-19 Pandemic is like this, we can organize our Philately Collection. Stamp-collecting erases boredom at home alone; stamps of ‘Prisma Romantisme Jogja’ becomes additional memories of our collections during Pandemic Covid19,” commented Uul Jihadan, the Division Chairman of Communication of the Indonesian Central Philatelists Association. 

“We welcome the publication of Prisma stamps with the headline “Romanticism Jogja”, displaying Jogja photos and featuring Toy Photography by Fauzie Helmy, as an antidote to traveling to the city of Jogja for those have not been able to go on holiday during the Covid-19 pandemic,” added Yetti Martanti, the Secretary of the Yogyakarta Tourism Office.
