Richard Marx’s The Songwriter Tour goes to Jakarta


Jakarta, IO – Richard Marx, one of the world’s music legends, is coming from the United States to hold “The Songwriter Tour” concert in Jakarta. The concert, promoted by Endless Live Entertainment and Go Live, is a chance for Indonesian music lovers, especially the 90s generation, to enjoy the extraordinary works of Marx. 

Marx, known as one of the most talented songwriters in the music industry, has created memorable romantic songs that steal the hearts of millions around the world. His hit, “Right Here Waiting,” is an unforgettable piece of his work that will surely be the most anticipated song in the concert. 

“The Songwriter Tour” concert started its tour in early 2023, in London and Chicago. Marx continued the concert tours to Bloomsburg, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Osaka, Tokyo, Jakarta, San Diego, Lincoln, and Rancho Mirage. 

“The Songwriter Tour” concert is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Kota Kasablanka Hall, South Jakarta. Ticket prices range from IDR 750,000 to IDR 3,500,000. 

Richard Noel Marx, born on September 16, 1963, has so far released 14 albums and sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Marx managed to land seven singles in the top five best-selling Billboard charts. 

His biggest songs, “Hazard”, “Right Here Waiting”, “Hold On to the Nights”, “Endless Summer Nights” and “Satisfied”, have all reached the top of the charts. In 1988 and 1990, his songs “Don’t Mean Nothing” and “Right Here Waiting” were nominated for Grammy Awards. Marx received a Grammy Award for the 2004 Song of the Year for “Dance with My Father.”

Before “The Songwriter Tour”, Marx had previously performed several concerts in Jakarta. The first was at the Lebak Bulus Stadium in the mid-1990s, then at the Gandaria City Skeeno Hall on December 10, 2011, and the third was at the Kuningan City Grand Ballroom on March 18, 2016.
