Jakarta, IO – National Police (Polri) chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo revealed the testimony by one of the suspects, Second Patrolman Richard Eliezer (“Bharada E”), which revealed the role of ex-police internal affairs chief Inspector General Ferdy Sambo in the murder of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat (“Brigadier J”).
According to Gen. Listyo, Bharada E became disillusioned after Ferdy Sambo failed to keep his promise to terminate the investigation into the murder.
“This prompted Richard to reveal the information to the investigation team and this changed all the initial information and narrative given at that time,” said Gen. Listyo at the hearing with the House Committee III on Wednesday (24/8).
Richard Eliezer then demanded a new lawyer and refused to meet with Ferdy Sambo.
