Jakarta, IO – Recently a video circulated on social media showing a number of people removing the label “Humanitarian Aid Team from the Indonesian Evangelical Reformed Church” from the tent roof at an earthquake evacuation shelters in Cibulakan, Genjot, Telaga and Sarampad in Cianjur regency, West Java.
Cianjur Police Chief Superintendent Doni Hermawan said the action in four shelters was not carried out by survivors, but by mass organization outside the area, reported CNN Indonesia, Monday (28/11).
“The survivors accept aids from any group, regardless of religion,” said Doni.
Doni said the perpetrators have been questioned by the police. “We have investigated the incident. I have summoned individuals from the mass organization and rebuke them,” he said.
