Relocation of Dutch-built tramway

Jakarta, IO – A number of workers are relocating the tramway built during the Dutch colonial era, recently excavated during the construction of Jakarta MRT phase two on Gajah Mada St., Jakarta, Monday (21/11). The cultural heritage object, believed to be 100 years old is estimated to be built in 1869 and is the oldest railroad track in Indonesia. It will be temporarily relocated to the Jelambar storage pool of state-run bus company Jakarta Passenger Transportation (PPD). (Muhammad Hidayat)
