Jakarta, IO – Miss Universe 2022, R’Bonney Gabriel, is no stranger to Bali. “This is the third time I have come to Bali. Two years ago I was backpacking alone here. To Canggu, Ubud and even to Bukittinggi,” said Gabriel.

At that time she only brought one backpack and one waist bag. This time, she made an official visit as part of the Miss Universe 2023 Asia Tour series and has to carry along three large suitcases. “Perhaps I have to add one more suitcase,” he said as quoted by Antara.

“Upon arriving in Bali, I felt an extraordinary warmth from this island. We are very happy to be in Bali,” Gabriel said during the Miss Universe Indonesia launch event in Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali, Tuesday, February 21.

Miss Universe from the United States had a memorable experience while on vacation in Bali. “Bali is where I first learned to ride a motorbike. I usually waited until evening when the streets were quiet,” she recalls.

She was also impressed by the honesty of the Balinese people. “I left my wallet at the airport when I continued my trip to Thailand, I only realized when I arrived in Thailand. With no wallet and money left, I contacted my mother and she gave me the ticket money to return to Bali,” he said.

“Upon arrival in Bali, my wallet was safely stored in the Lost-andFound section of the airport. The Balinese are very honest,” she continued.

Gabriel visited Bali on 19-23 February with the 2nd runner up of Miss Universe 2022 from the Dominican Republic, Andreina Martinez and the top five finalists of Miss Universe 2022 from Curacao, Gabriela Dos Santos and the owner of the Miss Universe Organization, Jakapong Jakrajutatip and Miss Universe senior advisor Fred Mouawad.
