Jakarta, IO – The Indonesian Farmers’ Union (SPI) and the People’s Committee for Food Transformation held a protest outside the Agriculture Ministry (Kementan), Jakarta, Monday (31/10).
They demanded the government to immediately revise the Agriculture Minister Regulation 67/2016 on farmers’ organizational development and stop promoting the use of genetically modified (GMO) seeds in Indonesia and the Agriculture Ministry to scrap the food estate program in dealing with the food crisis.
