Jakarta, IO – Prosecutor charged 2nd Patrolman Richard Eliezer (E) of killing Brig. J in a premeditated murder at the official residence of ex-police internal affairs chief Ferdy Sambo at Duren Tiga, South Jakarta on July 8, 2022.
The charge was read out in the trial held in South Jakarta District Court, Tuesdays (18/10).
E is alleged to have committed the murder with other suspects namely Ferdy Sambo, Putri Candrawathi, Chief Brig. Ricky Rizal (RR) and Kuat Ma’ruf.
“They are the perpetrators, who ordered and participated in the murder, intentionally and in a premeditated manner took someone’s life,” said the prosecutor, CNN Indonesia reported on Tuesday (18/10).
The prosecutor elaborated that the murder was triggered by an event at Sambo’s house in Magelang, Central Java on July 7 at 2pm.
“There was argument between the victim Brig. Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat with witness Kuat Ma’ruf,” he said.
Shortly before 8pm, Putri Candrawathi called E and RR to the house. Upon arriving, E and RR heard the commotion but had no idea what caused it.
Both of them went straight to Putri’s room. She then asked RR to call Brig. J.
The prosecutor said before RR called Brig. J, he first took two guns and kept them at the room of Sambo’s child. (un)
