IO, Jakarta – Prophets of Rage – Tom Morello; Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine; Chuck D and DJ Lord of Public Enemy; and B of Cypress Hill – became headliners on the second day of the Hodgepodge Superfest 2019. State Champs, Superorganism and many others also enlivened the four stages of this music festival.

Prophets of Rage
Before Prophets of Rage started their show, the audience crowded around the Supermusic Stage. They all sang the national anthem, Indonesia Raya (“Great Indonesia”). Next, the band started their show with the eponymous Prophets of Rage, making the audience jump up together while Chuck D. greeted the audience with the words “Indonesia rage again!”

The band then sang Testify followed by Unfuck the World perfectly. The audience cheered when Prophets of Rage sang their trademark Guerilla Radio and Hail to the Chief, followed by Tom Morello’s guitar solo.  When the solo ended, the band sang Take the Power Back.

Chuck D. then asked the audience, “Let me ask you something, do you like hip hop music? Would you like to hear some classic hip hop music? Yo Lord, drop it off!” They then sang Cypress Hill’s Hand on the Pump, Public Enemy’s Can’t Trust It, and Cypress Hill’s Insane in the Brain. Chuck then requested the audience to get ready to jump before ending the hip-hop act with House of Pain’s Jump Around.

The next part started with RATM’s own Sleep Now in the Fire. It was Tom Morello’s turn to talk to the audience and tell them that the second night of Hodgepodge Superfest 2019 was special, as it was the last time his guitar technician would be working with him after 20 years of partnership. After this touching announcement, the band sang Cochise to remember Chris Cornell, followed by Bullet in the Head, Living on the 110, How I Could Just Kill a Man, Bulls on Parade, Fight the Power, and Killing in the Name. Prophets of Rage ended their show in the Hodgepodge Superfest 2019 with Bombtrack.
