Jakarta, IO – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said farmers’ welfare is well maintained with regard to the price of grain and rice. He conveyed this during an inspection to check the supply of rice at the Tanah Grogot warehouse complex, East Kalimantan, Thursday (26/9).
Jokowi emphasized that stable price of rice reflect positive conditions for farmers, because they are directly proportional to the price of grain they sell.
“If the price of rice is good, it means the price of grain is also good. If the price of grain is good, it means the selling price enjoyed by farmers should also be good, meaning there is no distortion in the field,” said Jokowi, as per Setkab.go.id, Fri (27/9).
“I have checked it in the field, with the farmers, comparing the prices. It used to be only Rp4,200, now it is Rp6,000,” he pointed out.
