Commenting on Chairman Prabowo’s meeting with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, Dasco pointed out that “it is only natural”, as Prabowo serves as Defense Minister in Jokowi’s Cabinet.
Dasco did admit that the 2024 general election is approaching, and many Gerindra cadres expect the party’s Central Executive Board to immediately declare Chairman Prabowo as their presidential candidate.
However, Gerindra is currently focusing on internal consolidation. “We are still gathering input from the public as to who should run with Chairman Prabowo as the vice presidential candidate,” explained Dasco.
