Jakarta, IO – Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto is deemed capable of uniting rivalling camps divided during the 2019 elections, thus ending political polarisation in Indonesia.
“Prabowo is the middle way figure, a unifying figure for the nation who is able to end the political dichotomy and rivalry,” said National Presidium for Prabowo-Puan secretary Dhachri Oskandar, as per Sindonews, Tuesday (12/7).
According to Dhachri, the polarization resulting from the 2019 elections has not gone away. This can be ended if Prabowo runs in 2024. On the other hand, Dhachri views Prabowo has consistently carried out his duties as the defense minister and not preoccupied with the upcoming election. This is a positive value of a statesman.
