Jakarta, IO – National pollster Poltracking Indonesia found Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan were the three strongest figures to contest in the presidential race in 2024.
The survey was conducted from May 16-22 using a multistage random sampling method, involving 1,220 respondents across 34 provinces with 95 percent confidence level. Data collection was carried out by trained interviewers through face-to-face interviews. The data was strictly verified through ICT devices to ensure the quality and credibility of the results.
“The result produced three top names for the 2024 presidential candidates with the highest electability, namely Ganjar Pranowo 26.9 percent, Prabowo Subianto 22.5 percent and Anies Baswedan 16.8 percent,” Poltracking Indonesia executive director Hanta Hanta Yuda AR told Observerid.com at the Bidakara Hotel, Thursday (9/6).
Poltracking Indonesia also conducted a survey on vice presidential candidate electability. Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno topped the chart with 15.5 percent, followed by SOE Minister Erick Thohir (12.4 percent), Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (11.7 percent), West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil (8.1 percent), House Speaker Puan Maharani (6.8 percent) and East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa (4.9 percent).
