Social Affairs Ministry’s inspector general Dadang Iskandar said the ministry will check the facts on the ground. He suspected that the buried packs of essentials did not belong to the ministry.

“Judging from the packaging, they are slightly different, that’s what I remember when Juliari was still the minister, because we asked Bulog to distribute it to the community with specific identifying sign,” said Dadang.

Dadang revealed that the procurement of rice at Bulog using funds from his ministry was specifically labelled “Presidential Assistance through Social Ministry Affairs.”
