Police arrests seven people in a protest against new autonomous regions in Papua

Jakarta, IO – Jayapura Police Chief AKBP Fredrickus W.A Maclairimboen said his force managed to confiscate sharp weapons and Bintang Kejora (Morning Star) accesories in checkpoints leading to demonstrations against new autonomous regions (DOB) in Sentani, Jayapura regency.

“From the two checkpoints, we managed to secure several sharp weapons, Morning Star accessories and motorbikes that didn’t have proper documents,” Fredrickus told CNN Indonesia, Tuesday (10/5).

In details, the police confiscated six sharp weapons, two pointed bamboo pole, 13 arrows, T-shirts, Noken bags and bracelets with Morning Star motif as well as 15 motorcycles with no proper vehicle documents.
