Jakarta, IO – Mardani Ali Sera, House Committee II member of PKS faction, advised President Joko Widodo to quickly find a replacement for deceased Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) Minister Tjahjo Kumolo and not leave the position vacant for more than a month. He made the comment after conveying his condolences to the family of the late Tjahjo Kumolo.
“I offer my deep condolences to the family of the deceased Mr. Tjahjo. He was a simple person and focused on his work. We at the House Committee II feel a great loss. Regarding his replacement, it is within Pak Jokowi’s rights to accelerate or postpone it for one month. But should no longer than a month,” Mardani told Detik on Saturday (2/7).
He reasoned that letting the position vacant for long would impact the ministry’s functions and potentially slow down the reform process.
