He said with the relaxation of quarantine, visa on arrival, and visa-exemption policies for ASEAN countries, tourism in Bali has begun to spring back to life. This can be seen from the increase in hotel occupancy and the number of flights arriving in the island. Suryawijaya said that as of Friday (8/4) 2,000 foreign travellers (PPLN) had visited Bali. For domestic travel, he projects a surge of up to 40% during the Eid holiday.

Suryawijaya hopes that Bali tourism can recover soon with the promotion drive “Welcome Back to Bali.” He also hopes that the efforts made by his organization can impress and satisfy travellers so they will share their experiences vacationing in Bali.

“So that those who come to Bali can share that Bali is very worth visiting, Bali is safe, comfortable, and special prices are in offer,” he said. (un)
