IO – The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) expressed its commendation and satisfaction for the achievements of President Jokowi and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin’s administration. “A survey conducted by one national media source shows a satisfaction level of 73.9%, the highest so far. The people appreciate the Government’s comprehensive, diligent efforts,” stated Secretary-General of PDIP Central Executive Board Hasto Kristiyanto, Monday (2/21/2022).

PDIP believes the high satisfaction level in all sectors represents major social capital, one that could strengthen the legitimacy of President Jokowi’s leadership. It is a vital factor, one necessary to implement strategic programs rapidly.

Hasto pointed to such programs as handling the pandemic, improving the welfare of the people, boosting the nation’s progress and relocating the state’s capital to Kalimantan, not to mention ensuring the success of Indonesia’s G-20 Presidency and the upcoming 2024 general elections.

PDIP, as the main party supporting the Government, uses its prominent social capital to encourage its cadres in legislation from central to regional.

Ministers from PDIP, governors, regents, mayors and the party’s structure are urged to put more zeal into the work they do for the people, so that the many problems caused by the pandemic could be overcome quickly. Only then can Indonesia hasten to build its future more optimistically.

“Congratulations to President Jokowi, Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin and also Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, particularly with sincere appreciation for their political-security performance,” said Hasto. (des)
