Feli said the Eid moment this year has been a turning point. Traders and craftsmen receive a lot of ranging from food parcels, furniture, to miniature mosque domes combined with clock decorations.
“There are about 70 shops owned by approximately 20 traders, assisted by craftsmen, all of them have seen a jump of order this Eid. There are actually not many traders here, because one trader usually owns two to three shops,” said Feli.
The prices of parcel can range from as low as Rp300,000 to as high as Rp2 million to Rp3 million.
“This is a seasonal business, so we only see sales spike once a year. On normal days we usually accept order for bouquets for wedding. For the materials we usually order from suppliers, for example baskets from Tasikmalaya,” said Feli, who also promotes his shop through social media. (Ricardo Ronald)
