She said that Golkar is subservient to the Constitution by supporting the decision of President Jokowi administration. “Golkar always observe the law unwaveringly,” said Nurul.
On the aspirations conveyed by a number of oil palm farmers to Golkar chairman Airlangga Hartarto in Riau in February in support of Jokowi’s term extension, Nurul said that it was simply freedom of expression.
“We accepted it as an input from the community. We respect their opinion. However, it has never been on Golkar’s official agenda to propose presidential term extension or elections postponement,” she reiterated. (at)
