Jakarta, IO – Golkar Party asserts that it supports the 2024 elections to be held according to schedule. This is in line with President Jokowi’s statement emphasizing that the general elections (pemilu) and regional elections (pilkada) will be held on February 14 and November 2024, respectively.

“Golkar cannot be on a different side from Jokowi. It is only natural that Golkar emphasized its support for elections to be on schedule,” Adi Prayitno, a political observer at State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah, told Antara on Wednesday (13/4).
In his view, the discourse to postpone elections will now be buried after Golkar Party and President Jokowi declared their firm stance.
