Jakarta, IO – Sad news came out of Hollywood as 1980s renowned actress and singer Olivia Newton-John died at the age of 73 on Monday (8/8).
“Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends,” announced Olivia’s husband John Easteling on her Facebook page, Tuesday (9/8).
“Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer,” continued Easterling.
He said his wife’s persistence in fighting her illness has pioneered the development of research on plant-based medicines to cure breast cancer.
“Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer,” he added.
