“After this I can’t relax because there are still many events that I will face, such as the World Championships.”

“What is certain is that it is for Indonesia, especially since it is August and the Indonesian Independence Day will soon be commemorated,” said Ni Nengah. In addition to Indonesia, Ni Nengah also specially presented the 2022 ASEAN Para Games gold medal for her sick mother. “For my mother who is ill, hopefully with this gold medal she will be even more courageous to fight her pain and recover quickly.”

After the 2022 ASEAN Para Games, Ni Nengah plans to ask permission to return to Bali and stay with her parents. “I haven’t seen my mother for a long time. At the beginning of the year I was able to go home, but my mother was sick. I took leave for a few days, then I returned (to the national training),” said Ni Nengah. “After the ASEAN Para Games, I will ask permission to go back to Bali first to meet my parents.”

Ni Nengah Widiasih (born 12 December 1992) is an Indonesian powerlifter. She competed in the 2012 Summer Paralympics, 2016 Summer Paralympics, and 2020 Summer Paralympics.
