Jakarta, IO – The NasDem Party, the fifth-largest political party in Indonesia, expressed its strong support for the incoming government that will be led by the President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
NasDem chairman Surya Paloh emphasized that his party will not burden the government by demanding cabinet posts.
“This party will always preserve its dignity and integrity, not a party that becomes a burden for the government it supports,” said Surya at NasDem’s third Congress, as per Antaranews, Mon (26/8).
“But, God willing, it will try to lighten the burden for the government it supports. It is not about expecting ministerial positions,” he added.

Nevertheless, Surya Paloh said that his party would appreciate Prabowo-Gibran administration for considering the party’s ideas and thoughts.
“When our ideas and thoughts are heard, and especially if we are able to implement them, that is what the NasDem Party is striving for,” Surya said. (un)
