Jakarta, IO – According to the masterplan, the second phase is divided into 2A which spans 5.8 km from Thamrin to Kota and the 6 km-long 2B from HI Roundabout to West Ancol.
“Currently we are making progress, I hope that in 2028 or 2029 the 2A line can be completed and become operational,” said PT MRT president director Tuhiyat, reported Katadata, Friday (24/2).
He explained that at the moment the Thamrin to Harmoni segment has been 51.7 percent completed while the progress of Harmoni to Mangga Besar segment is 27.3 percent and Mangga Besar to Kota 9 percent.

Meanwhile, the feasibility study for the 2B line has been conducted. According to PT MRT ridership data, average daily number of passengers was 70,000 in the February to September 2022 period. However, this was still below the pre-pandemic level of 90,000. (un)
