Mount Rinjani Mangku Sakti Waterfall Reopens After 2 Years

Jakarta, IO – The natural tourist destination Mangku Sakti Waterfall in Sajang village, East Lombok regency reopened on Monday (1/7).

Spokesperson of the Mount Rinjani National Park Center (BTNGR), Muhammad Wahyudi Gunawan, explained that this waterfall, which can be reached without climbing through the Sajang area, was closed in October 2022, per Kompas, Tue (2/7).

According to the head of the BTNGR Center, Dedy Asriadi, the closure was carried out due to the potential for extreme weather from forecasts by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and a warning from the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) which raised an alert to the potential of floods, landslides and tornadoes around the area.
