MOFA: Indonesia is committed to help Palestinian refugees

She invited the world to work together to help UNRWA, which is currently dealing with around five million Palestinian refugees. According to her, support for UNRWA is part of efforts toward a peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue.

Retno revealed that there are at least two things that can be done to help UNRWA. First, overcoming UNRWA’s financial constraints. Second, to ensure that UNRWA can carry out its duties properly.

Retno went on to say that Indonesia has always support for the extension of UNRWA’s mandate and financial contributions.

“Indonesia also supports the UN Secretary General’s plan to increase the UNRWA budget through mandatory contributions,” she said. (un)
