IO – Trust Indonesia Research and Consulting Institute has conducted a survey on the electoral dynamics of the 2024 presidential election. Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto’s electability remains second to none.
Trust Indonesia Executive Director Azhari Ardinal explained how the survey used a “closed-question” method to map electability. “MoD Prabowo obtains 25%,” said Azhari at an online survey result presentation, Monday (1/31/2022).
There is fierce competition for second place, with only a slight margin between the two candidates. Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan received 16.3%, and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo got 16.1%.
Next on the list is Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, with 7.8% electability – too far off to join the top three. In fifth place is Democratic Party General Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) with 5.7%. Next is West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil in sixth place at 3.4%, and Speaker of the House (DPR) Puan Maharani follows with 2.8% electability. “9.3% voters remain undecided,” Azhari said.
Trust Indonesia conducted the face-to-face survey on January 3-12, 2022. A total of 1,200 respondents were selected, using a multistage random sampling technique, with a 2.8% margin of error and 95% confidence level. (des)
