Jakarta, IO – PDI-P chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri insisted that all party cadres must obey and follow the party’s rules. PDIP, she said, will not tolerate cadres who only seek to gain popularity and are not solid in promoting the interests of the people.
“This is the organization of a party called the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, which follows the party’s rules, and is solidly standing with the people. If you just want to seek popularity, this is not the place,” said Megawati at the opening of PDI-P’s 2nd National Working Meeting according to the party’s YouTube channel on Wednesday (22/6).
The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia also gave a stern warning to all cadres not to maneuver in the nomination of presidential candidates in the upcoming election. “Those who are maneuvering, get out!” she stressed.
