Jakarta, IO – A surprising announcement came from the Glazers family, the owner of the Manchester United (MU). They consider selling the football club.

This was confirmed in an official statement on the MU website saying the club’s Board of Directors is exploring “strategic alternatives,” among others, open it for new investment or putting the world’s most successful and historic football club nicknamed “The Red Devils” on sale.

“As part of this process, the Board will consider all strategic alternatives, including new investment into the club, a sale, or other transactions involving the Company,” the statement reads.

For potential investors or buyers, MU sets the conditions that they must develop the club, among others by building stadiums and club infrastructure, as well as expanding MU globally.

“This will include an assessment of several initiatives to strengthen the club, including stadium and infrastructure redevelopment, and expansion of the club’s commercial operations on a global scale, each in the context of enhancing the long-term success of the club’s men’s, women’s and academy teams, and bringing benefits to fans and other stakeholders,” it reads.
