Jakarta, IO – Gerindra Party’s chairman Prabowo Subianto’s electability continues to strengthen ahead of the 2024 presidential election, the National Survey Institute (LSN) found, Monday (5/9).
LSN executive director Gema Nusantara Bakry said according to polls conducted in February, Prabowo’s electability was 21.9 percent, then it rose to 29.5 percent in June and further to 30.6 percent in August-September.
Gema said the trend is commensurate with Prabowo’s rising popularity and the level of public acceptance.
This is in contrast to several other presidential hopefuls such as Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. According to Gema, their electability tends to stagnate or even decline.
