Jakarta, IO – “Boundless Creativity,” a principle firmly upheld by Lakon Indonesia, was displayed at the 2024 Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JF3).
In celebrating the Indonesian fashion world’s current developments, Lakon Indonesia wowed the audiences with its latest streetwear collection.
Lakon Indonesia stayed true to its commitment to showcasing traditional artisan craftsmanship in every collection. Their latest, called “Pasar Malam” (Night Market), highlights a collaboration with a master batik artisan from Pekalongan, Dudung Alisyahbana, who is renowned for his distinctive linear designs.
Inspired by the daily lives and needs of today’s generation, “Pasar Malam” presents simplicity and boldness, through fresh new cuts. Lakon Indonesia’s vision consistently emphasizes classic craftsmanship while adapting to contemporary journeys through time.

The collection stems from extensive research on daily street life and the needs of youth today. “We noticed a trend of sportswear becoming everyday clothes due to its comfort. However, not all environments are suitable for this style. The essence of our collection lies in providing comfort for daily journeys without compromising functionality or dress ethics,” explained Thresia Maretha, founder of Lakon Indonesia.
Lakon Indonesia is more than a fashion brand; it is a cultural ambassador. They strive to elevate Indonesian culture by consistently incorporating traditional artisan work into their fashion. (des)
