IO – Once again, the Gerindra Party receives an award from the Central
Information Commission (KIP) as the most informative political party, Tuesday (26/10/2021).

In place of President Joko Widodo, Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin attended the virtual award ceremony, and Sugiono, the Deputy Chairman
of Gerindra, represented the party.

“The public deserves to learn about our party’s transparency, and they also have the right to access information based on Law No. 14/2008 about Public Information Disclosure,” said Sugiono.

Sugiono said Gerindra has worked to become the most informative party since 2017. He vows that Gerindra would improve its services in facilitating access to public information through Gerindra’s PPID (information and data management).

“The PPID team has performed the tasks of preparing, providing and distributing valid and up-to-date data as needed by the community. It’s professional, fast and free of charge. That’s why we have (won) fve times in a row,” said Sugiono.

Danang Wicaksana Sulistya, the head of Gerindra’s Strategic Information Section, said that since it was founded in 2008, Gerindra has determined to work as a transparent and accountable party.

Even so, Danang said awards are not Gerindra’s primary goal. Its focus
is to commit to providing openness and accountability. The commitment
is rewarded by being pronounced informative recurrently.

KIP awards public information disclosure to various institutions, including political parties. Of the 337 institutions, 83 are considered “informative institutions”. And only four political parties are appraised as “informative parties”. (Dessy Aipipidely)
