KPK: No evidence yet of Ganjar’s involvement in e-KTP corruption

Jakarta, IO – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it has yet to find any evidence of the involvement of the Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo in the e-KTP procurement corruption.

The PDI-P politician is often allegedly linked to mega-corruption cases that have cost the state upwards of Rp2.3 trillion. Ganjar, who then sit at the House Committee II, was said to have received bribe to smooth out the project during the deliberation process.

“Up until today, we haven’t found any evidence yet. We can’t name someone a suspect without any evidence,” Firli told Sindo on Thursday (28/4).

The KPK, continued Firli, works in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations. Thus, if there is no evidence on someone’s involvement in a corruption case, the investigation cannot be carried out.
