“The EWS system that utilizes digital TV services can reach around 76 percent of Indonesia’s population,” said Communications and Informatics Minister Budi Arie Setiadi, as per Kominfo.go.id, Wed (25/9).
In the trial period, EWS digital TV had three levels of alarm sounds accompanied by a display on the digital broadcast screen with three-tier notification system indicated by the colors blue, yellow and red.
