Muhadjir said when the pandemic ended, the government would immediately close the Covid-19 treatment/quarantine center at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Jakarta.
The government also plans to phase out subsidies for the treatment of Covid-19 patients in hospitals. According to him, if the outbreak can be fully contained, the coronavirus will be classified as a common cold/flu.
“If it is later designated as a common cold, the treatment will be the same, by only using BPJS, no longer borne by the government,” he said.
He hopes the transition will be smooth so that people will be able to carry out their normal activities as what they used to pre-pandemic. (at)
