“Kemenag fully supports the legal steps taken by the police to thoroughly investigate the case,” Waryono said.

He said Kemenag would continue to coordinate with the ministry’s East Java office, Jombang office, and relevant parties to ensure that the students at the school can continue their education uninterruptedly.

He also asked for support from the parents of the students to understand the ministry’s decisions. Waryono said the main focus at this time would be to ensure the continuation of the students’ education.

“Don’t worry, Kemenag will synergize with other Islamic boarding schools and madrasas within its jurisdiction to ensure the continuation of the students’ education,” he concluded. (un)
