Jakarta, IO – An amusing thing happened at the wedding of President Jokowi’s son Kaesang Pangarep, who wedded Erina Gudono. After the midodareni (eve of the ceremony) in Sleman, Yogyakarta, Friday (9/12), his grandson Jan Ethes became an impromptu spokesperson for the family, reported Detik, Saturday (10/12).
When President Jokowi, First Lady Iriana, and their sons Kaesang Pangarep and Gibran Rakabuming walked out of Erina’s house, Jan Ethes and his cousin Sedah Mirah, who were in the front, approached the media crew waiting outside.
“New spokesperson,” joked Kaesang to the reporters. They then took turns asking Jan Ethes questions. “Who did you meet, Mas Ethes?” asked one reporter. “Mba Erina’s family,” Ethes answered.
“Who chose the purple outfit you are wearing, you or Bapak Jokowi?” asked another reporter. “Bapak Jokowi,” Ethes replied promptly. “Did you enjoy the ceremony inside?” the journalist continued, to which he innocently responded: “Yes, I was happy because there were so many people.”

President Jokowi could be seen smiling when he was Jan Ethes’s adorable conduct.
Kaesang’s wedding ceremony was held today at around 12 p.m. WIB. Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono was Kaesang’s witness while State Secretary Pratikno was Erina’s. Meanwhile, the sermon and wedding prayer was conducted by Vice President Ma’ruf Amin. (rr)
