Jakarta, IO – Russian state news agency TASS reported that President Joko Widodo plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A source in the Kremlin said Jokowi’s meeting with Putin will be held on June 30. The meeting was considered highly important, Detik reports on Monday (20/6).
“This will be a very important visit. We are preparing for it now. President Joko Widodo of Indonesia will visit Moscow on June 30,” the anonymous source said.
The Kremlin source also named Indonesia as an important partner with which Russia has maintained intensive political and economic ties. Indonesia also holds the chairmanship of G20 this year where Putin was also invited.
