Jakarta, IO – President Joko Widodo invited 1998 activists to the State Palace on Friday (15/7). They included Adian Napitupulu, Mustar, Pendi and Musa.

Adian Napitupulu, a PDI-P politician, said they discussed agrarian issues and the current economic situations, Detik reported.

“The meeting lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes. We from the national association of 1998 activists discussed with the president on issues related to agrarian conflicts and the global recession risk. The president showed us data that as of today we are actually far better economically than many other countries,” said Adian.

Jokowi, added Adian, also asked activists to help with land issues through coordination with the Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR) Ministry/National Land Agency (BPN).

“The president also asked us to actively coordinate with relevant ministries, including the ATR Ministry on information related to people’s issues,” said Adian.
