Jakarta, IO – They will assume the duty of raising the national flag at the commemoration of Indonesia’s 79th independence anniversary on August 17 at the new administrative capital Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.
The induction ceremony began with the national anthem Indonesia Raya. Then, the head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Yudian Wahyudi led the oath taking session.

Afterward, Jokowi went around the room to congratulate the members one by one. He expressed his hope that they can carry out their duties well.

This year’s independence anniversary celebration is special because it is the first to be held at the new capital in a newly constructed State Palace. The president will preside over the historic event as the ceremony inspector.
The ceremony will begin at 11am WITA and will be broadcast live throughout the country. As many as 1,300 guests have been invited to attend the ceremony at IKN. The ceremony will also be held simultaneously in Jakarta. (at)
