Jakarta, IO – President Joko Widodo is of the view that the Russia-Ukraine will not be over soon so government officials and economists need to come up with long-term strategies to deal with the crisis. This was revealed by Jokowi during a gathering of 100 Indonesian economists attended by the ministers and CT Corps CEO Chairul Tanjung.

“From my meeting with presidents of the two countries, I conclude that the situation will continue for a long time, so don’t expect the war to end tomorrow or next month,” Jokowi said as reported by Antara, Wednesday (7/9).

As was widely reported, President Jokowi met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin on June 30.

“I spoke with President Zelensky for 1.5 hours and with President Putin for 2.5 hours, but we sit closer, not five-meter apart. If I was seated five-meter apart at that time I would prefer to walk away. Who would want to be received like that? For me personally, I would refuse,” he said.
