Jakarta, IO – Ahead of the 2024 elections, President Joko Widodo asked all elements, especially in the government, to participate in supporting the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) in preparing for the five-yearly democracy agenda.
“I ask all ministries, agencies and local governments, both in the provinces, regencies and cities to support the implementation of KPU and Bawaslu duties,” Jokowi said on Friday (28/4), as reported by CNN Indonesia.

Jokowi said the initial stage of the 2024 elections would begin in June 2022. He asked budgetary support for KPU and Bawaslu can also be well prepared. Jokowi expressed his hope that all stages of the General Election from the beginning to the end can be carried out properly and smoothly.
