From 1977 to the present, various changes have occurred. The land area was reduced to only 1.3 hectares and various collections have been intentionally placed on the concrete fence or museum walls to save land.

“Parts of the cemetery were built into the office of Central Jakarta Mayor to the south and Jakarta chapter of KONI [Indonesian Sports Council] to the north. According to the identification survey in 2016 there are 862 pieces of gravestones, inscriptions and ornaments; 32 of which are in situ collections or original collections that cannot be moved,” concluded Eko.
