Jakarta, IO – The “Garuda Squad” moved up to No. 129 in latest FIFA rankings following Malawi’s 1-3 defeat to Burkina Faso in the African Cup qualifiers, Wednesday (11/9). This caused Malawi to lose 6.81 points to 1,117.41, as per Inews.id.
Indonesia currently holds 1,124.18 points after collecting 8.57 points following a 0-0 tie against Australia in the second match of Group C of the 2026 World Cup Asian qualifiers, Tuesday (10/9).
The additional points boosted its place from 132nd to 130th spot. Malawi’s defeat increased it further. In total, in the FIFA Matchday in September, Team Indonesia climbed four positions from 133rd to 129th after collecting a total of 15.45 points.
