Indonesia’s CPI slides in 2022, KPK calls for breakthrough

To improve the score in a sustainable manner, KPK calls for a breakthrough in a number of fields, one of which being the government’s goods and services procurement which is long known to be riddled with corruption.

TII Deputy Secretary General Wawan Suyatmiko said the political risks referred to in the PRI include corruption in the political system, underhand payments and bribes in export-import process, as well as unscrupulous relationships between politicians and corporations, reported Kompas.

“This means that in 2022 business players were faced political risks in doing business in Indonesia,” said Wawan.

According to him, the government, the House, political parties, business players, civil society, and others have a homework to improve thes PRI score. (un)
