Indonesian-made bus to start operation in Bangladesh

Jakarta, IO – Buses fabricated by an Indonesian bus body builder CV Laksana will soon operate in Bangladesh after being officially launched by Foreign Ministry’s director general for Asia Pacific and Africa Abdul Kadir Jailani in Dhaka, Thursday (24/11).

Kadir said that Indonesian-made buses are expected to contribute to the success of the public transport rejuvenation program in Bangladesh, reported Antara, Saturday (26/11).

“This is one of the efforts to strengthen bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Bangladesh, especially in the development of the public transportation sector,” he said.

The buses, which use Scania engines, will serve intercity and interprovincial routes. They are exported to Bangladesh under a joint partnership with Innovative Motors, a well-known land transport company in the country. (un)
