Jakarta, IO – An Indonesian citizen (WNI) named Novita Kurnia Putri, nicknamed “Vita Brazil”, 25, was killed after 100 rounds of bullets were fired into her house. The drive-by shooting occurred in Bexar County, San Antonio, Texas, on Tuesday (4/10). Novita is married to a foreigner named Robert A Brazil.
It appeared that Novita’s house was mistakenly targeted. She was working on her computer in her bedroom at around 12.30 a.m. local time when she was hit by several bullets in the face. She died on the spot, Kompas reported on Tuesday (11/10), citing Indonesian Lantern.
Upon hearing the gunshots, deputy sheriff patrolling the area saw a vehicle fleeing the scene at high speed. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said the shooters have been identified as two teenagers aged 14 and 15, who were armed with pistols and AR-15s. They have been arrested on charges of murder and aggravated assault with deadly weapon. Police on Friday also arrested three other suspects.
