Jakarta, IO – Team Indonesia won 14 medals in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris which run from August 28 to September 8. It was the most medals won in the history of Indonesia’s participation in the four-yearly sporting event.
In the final standings, Indonesia was ranked 50th with a total of 14 medals — one gold, eight silver, and five bronze. The gold medal was presented by the badminton mixed doubles Hikmat Ramdani/Leani Ratri Oktila who won gold in the all Indonesian final against Fredy Setiawan/Khalimatus Sa’diyah 21-16 and 21-15.
The silver medal came from Boccia men’s singles and mixed team, men’s and women’s 100-meter athletics, men’s singles badminton, women’s singles badminton SL3 and SL4, and mixed doubles badminton.
Meanwhile, the bronze medal was obtained from Boccia men’s and women’s singles, badminton men’s singles, badminton men’s singles SU4, and badminton mixed doubles SH6.

This year was Indonesia’s first participation in Boccia, and it was a glorious debut with two silver and two bronze medals. To acknowledge the athletes’ achievements, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo handed over bonuses to 14 medal winners — Rp6 billion for gold medalists, Rp2.75 billion for silver medalists, and Rp1.65 billion for bronze medalists, as per Detikcom, Wed (11/9).
Athletes who did not win a medal will get Rp250 million, as well as the coaches. (bp)
