“As many as 14 scholarships are given by the University of Gorontalo specifically for the PGSD [primary school teacher education] faculty for 10 prospective students, two in health studies and two in pharmaceutical. But this is only for the Oecusse district,” he added.
Besides Gorontalo, Patimura University has also prepared 22 scholarships and 48 prospective students have applied. This is on top of 50 others from the Atmajaya University, and 10 from the Mulawawan University in forestry.

Ikfan added that to date there are approximately 2,000 Timor Lester students who are studying at universities in Indonesia. The Indonesian Embassy in Dili always supports and assists universities from Indonesia who seek to get prospective students from Timor Leste, through a rigorous selection process. (rr)
